Fiona is a consultant with Global to Local. Fiona has a background in environmental policy and economic regeneration. Fiona spent 10 years at Kirklees Metropolitan Council Environment Unit, where she worked on Local Agenda 21, Environmental Policy and management.

She then became Sustainable Development Manager - Environment with Yorkshire Forward (the Regional Development Agency for Yorkshire and the Humber), where her main areas of work were project management for the RDA on sustainable development projects.

She has advised on sustainability implications of major infrastructure projects; been responsible for implementation of EMAS 2 and represented the RDA as the lead officer on the Regional Environment Forum.

Fiona has extensive experience in training and facilitation through Local Agenda 21 and running awareness raising initiatives in local authorities and the community.

Recent projects have included evaluation of the Regional Sustainability Appraisal process and production of recommendations reports to advice the Regional Assembly on future development of the process.
