Diane Smith

Diane Smith has over 25 years experience of corporate communications, public affairs, project management, and conference, training and seminar organisation. Her topic area is predominantly the built environment and its sustainable development and impact on communities. She has worked as a consultant to the Town & Country Planning Association, the Civic Trust, the Countryside Agency, Charter 88, LB Sutton, LB Westminster as well as private sector companies. Over the years Diane has arranged Ministerial and other high level briefings on key issues of sustainable development for private sector and LA audiences; she has organised leading-edge conferences and seminars on sustainable development and related planning issues, and has extensive experience of enabling effective communication through partnership and networking. At Global to Local Diane will develop our training programme and information dissemination as well as advise on Corporate Social Responsibility and its relationship to the principles of sustainable development.
