The aims of the initial report were to:

- identify what activities are currently being carried out in schools in the region on sustainable education;

- identify the barriers which are stopping schools from working towards ‘Sustainable Schools’ status; and

- identify what support there is for schools in the Region from National Government, Regional organisations & agencies, Local Authorities and other organisations and networks.

GOEast - Sustainable Schools Consultation & Conference

Global to Local were commissioned by GOEast to conduct a survey of sustainable schools activities and the support provided for these within the Eastern Region.

A conference to share good practice in multi-agency working and to identify barriers was held in Cambridge on 22nd February 2008.
