Sustainable Products Catalogue

The new Local Government Sustainable Procurement Strategy builds on the Sustainable Procurement Task Force report and provides a framework for action for each region to consider with its local authorities and partners. Sustainable Procurement is seen as a way of dealing with some of the most profound impacts of the public sector, for example in terms of responding to climate change challenges. The ESPO catalogue has been produced jointly by Global to Local with the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) and the Pro4 consortium of public sector suppliers, and is now available for use. It will greatly assist local authorities in meeting their targets on sustainable procurement.

Benefits include:

• Value for money - with many discounts for quantity orders; and
