Global to Local were commissioned by GOEast to conduct a survey of sustainable schools activities and the support provided for these within the Eastern Region.

The aims of the report were to:

- identify what activities are currently being carried out in schools in the region on sustainable education;

- identify the barriers which are stopping schools from working towards ‘Sustainable Schools’ status; and

- identify what support there is for schools in the Region from National Government, Regional organisations & agencies, Local Authorities and other organisations and networks.

Global to Local undertook an evaluation for Yorkshire Foward of the contribution made to the ESD and partnership programmes by the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Coordinator - Education for Sustainable Development from 2006 -09.
